Luke Mulholland Talks to Rockwired About Mulholland Drive's Latest CD 'Further,' the Challenges of Being an Underaged Rocker and Looking to the Future
At the age of eighteen, LUKE MULHOLLAND has released his fourth album 'FURTHER'. Four albums at eighteen! I'm still scratching my head over what it was that MULHOLLAND had to write about when he released his debut CD 'ROAD HOME' back in 2004 at the age of fourteen. When I was fourteen, I had braces, acne, and no visible means of attracting someone for some good old-fashioned necking, yet MULHOLLAND has a career that is four albums strong with guitar and vocal chops that make you think you're listening to a fifty-year-old, blues-influenced English rocker in the vein of ERIC CLAPTON, ERIC BOURDON, or PAUL RODGERS.

Spring 2008
Luke has assembled a tight, musically talented group with bass player Chris Murphy, drummer, former Berklee student, Jayme Tardiff and rounded out by keyboardist, Eli Winderman. After several months holed up in Boston's Jam Spot, they have emerged tight and ready to go with set lists of his songs that traverse rock, pop rock and blues rock originals and, of course some favorite Mulholland Drive original covers.

he will be studying guitar, music, english and philosophy. Luke will be
Re-forming his band Muholland Drive for gigs and concerts throughout

Summer 2007
This was a busy summer for Luke and his band, as they opened for
Canadian Classic Rock icons Trooper and Lover Boy and then
Played a 2 hour set at the Outdoor Burlington Rib Festival before
An enthusiastic audience of 10,000. Downs Child Blues Band
Closed out the festival after Luke.
Luke was also busy in his studio this summer, recording 6 new songs
that have been featured during recent concerts and are available
for listening under the MUSIC section of this site.

Luke's, band Mulholland Drive, has been very busy this last year, opening up
for some of Canada's best known bands and rock icons including opening two
dates for April Wine, Chilliwack, Godo twice, Sue Foley and David Wilcox.

Mulholland Drive has stacked the month of April with killer shows opening for Mountain, and April Wine. The band will be finishing off the month headlining at Healey's on April 28th. For more details on live performances check out the LIVE page.
January 2006
January 2006 kicked off with a bang after Luke's song "Baby Stay with Me"
was chosen by Kim Mitchell and Q107 (Toronto) as the 2006 Home Grown
Winner and resulted in an opening set for Bon Jovi at the Air Canada Centre
in Toronto before a sold out crowd. Look for a video sample from the Bon Jovi
